According to different uses, current transformers can be divided into two categories: 

measuring current transformers (or measuring windings of current transformers) : In the normal working current range, to measure, measurement and other devices to provide current information network. Protective current transformer (or protective winding of current transformer) : In the State of power network fault, to relay protection and other devices to provide power network fault current information.
